James "Shag" Thomas was a prominent African-American professional wrestler who competed during the 1950s and 1960s. He gained significant acclaim in the Pacific Northwest where he was a multi-time Heavyweight and Tag Team Champion. In 1958, he made appearances for the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, the precursor to modern-day WWE.
