Biography
Oyama Kato, often known as "Professor" or "Kato the Great," was a prominent figure in the early television era of professional wrestling. He competed in the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, the precursor to the modern-day WWE, during the late 1950s. Known for his technical skill and "Professor" persona, he frequently teamed with or managed other Japanese-style competitors. His career was tragically cut short when he passed away at the age of 42 while still an active performer.
