Biography
Hans Schmidt was one of the most hated villains in the early televised era of the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, the precursor to WWE. Known for his aggressive "Prussian heel" persona, he became a top draw and frequent challenger for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship across various territories. In the northeast, his legendary battles against Lou Thesz and Antonino Rocca helped establish the foundation of the promotion's success in the 1950s.
