Gene DuBuque, often performing as Magnificent Maurice, was a prominent fixture in the WWWF during the 1960s. He is best remembered for his successful tag team partnership with "Handsome" Johnny Barend, frequently managed by Bobby Davis. During his tenure, he challenged Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF World Heavyweight Championship and feuded with legends like Bobo Brazil and Pedro Morales. After a hiatus, he made a final return to the promotion in 1971 before pursuing a career in acting.
